Nannie Lefrooth passed away at the Karlstad Memorial Hospital on Wednesday morning, December 10, 1986, at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 10 days. For the past six years she has resided at the Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center.
Nannie Victalia Lefrooth, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Holmgren, was born October 30, 1895, in Lincoln Township of Marshall County. She attended school and grew to maturity in the Strandquist community, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On March 8, 1917, Nannie was united in marriage to Victor Lefrooth and they lived and farmed in West Valley Township of Marshall County near Strandquist for many years. They later retired and moved into Strandquist. Mr. Lefrooth passed away in January of 1959. Nannie was a member of the former Mission Covenant Church and later attended the Bethesda Lutheran Church of Strandquist.
She is survived by three daughters; Rose, Mrs. Oliver Jevne, Strathcona, Leila, Mrs. Richard Trawicki, Milwaukee, WI, and Yvonne, Mrs. Richard Borowicz, St. Paul; two sons: Laurel of St. Paul, and Gordon of Strandquist; 17 grandchildren; one sister: Edna Lofstrom of Vancouver, BC; in addition to many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter Verona, one infant son, 8 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 step-children, and 6 grandchildren.
