Theresa Kostrzewski, 59, died Friday, July 7, 2000 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian with Father Larry Wieseler officiating. Abby Kuznia was the organist, and Randy Kostrzewski was the reader. Casketbearers were Peter Kostrzewski, Kenny Kostrzewski, Michael Sten, Ed Prestegard, Vernon Prestegard and Randy Kostrzewski. Interment was in Assumption Catholic Cemetery. The Collins Funeral Home of Karlstad was in charge of the arrangements.
Theresa Angeline Grembowski was born on March 24, 1941 in Big Woods township of Marshall county near Oslo, the daughter of Stanley and Veronica (Marynik) Grembowski. She attended school near Oslo and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.
On December 19, 1962, Theresa was united in marriage to Raymond Kostrzewski at Greenbush. Since their marriage, the couple has made their home and farmed in Wanger township of Marshall county near Florian.
She was a long-time member of Assumption Catholic Church of Florian.
Theresa is survived by her husband; one daughter, Irene (Ronald) Johnson of Lake Bronson; two grandchildren; one sister, Virginia (Melvin) Sivertson of Fargo, N.D.; one brother, Alphonse (Geri) of Ely; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Irene; and two brothers, Frank and Joseph.
