Kuznia, Ambrose (1926-2008)

Ambrose Kuznia, 81, of Warren, MN, formerly of Strandquist, MN, passed away on Sunday morning, Nov. 2, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.

Ambrose was born on Nov. 12, 1926 in Florian, MN, the son of Vincent and Wanda (Gratzek) Kuznia. He was a life long resident of the Florian area where he attended country school. On Nov. 9, 1948, he was united in marriage to Antoinette Borowicz. They made their home in Wright Township where they raised seven children. Ambrose farmed, worked in construction and sold seed. They moved to Warren in 2002. Antoinette died on June 26, 2008.

He was a member of the Polish National Alliance where he was President and District of Lodge 3060 and District Commissioner for the surrounding area. Ambrose was also a member of Knights of Columbus and NFO. He served on the Assumption Church Council and the Strandquist School Board for many years.

Ambrose enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and playing baseball for the Florian team.

Left to mourn his passing are six children, Francis (Marcia) Kuznia of Warren, MN, Timothy (Pat) Kuznia of Chisholm, MN, Barbara (Terry) Visness of Drayton, ND, Petronella Fugleberg (Jeff Pieterick) of Greenbush, MN, Paulette (Vince) Tunheim of River Falls, WI and Scott (Tammy) Kuznia of Strandquist, MN; twenty-two grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four brothers, Valerian Kuznia of Argyle, MN, Edmund (Annie) Kuznia of Warren, MN, Vince (Barbara) Kuznia of Blaine, MN and Hilary (Julianna) Kuznia of Stephen, MN; two sisters, Evelyn Kujava of Warren, MN and Ludvine (Conrad) Gryskiewicz of Argyle, MN; sister-in-law, Emily (Adrian) Dolney of Greenbush, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Rita Kasprowicz; three sons-in-law, Richard Kasprowicz, Daniel Renstrom Jr. and James Fugleberg and brother, Bernard.
