Kuznia, Antoinette (Borowicz) (1927-2008)

Antoinette Kuznia, 80, of Warren, MN, formerly of Strandquist, MN, passed away on Thursday evening, June 26, 2008 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Antoinette was born on Dec. 18, 1927 in Wright Twp., Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Brunes and Sophie (Gajewski) Borowicz. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Antoinette attended country school. On Nov. 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to Ambrose Kuznia. They made their home in Wright Township where they raised seven children. Antoinette worked at Arctic Cat in Karlstad, MN and Thief River Falls, MN and also at Hvidsten Farm during potato harvest. They moved to Warren in 2002.

She was a member of Assumption Church, Altar Society and Polish National Alliance.

Antoinette had many hobbies including crocheting, canning, quilt making and cake decorating. She made all her children’s wedding cakes. She enjoyed spending time with her husband of 60 years, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous friends.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Ambrose of Warren, MN, six children, Francis (Marcia) Kuznia of Warren, MN, Timothy (Pat) Kuznia of Chisholm, MN, Barbara (Terry) Visness of Drayton, ND, Petronella Fugleberg of Greenbush, MN, Paulette (Vince) Tunheim of River Falls, WI and Scott (Tammy) Kuznia of Strandquist, MN, twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren soon to be twelve, sister, Luella Grembowski of Aurora, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rita Kasprowicz, three sons-in-law, Richard Kasprowicz, Daniel Renstrom Jr. and James Fugleberg and sister, Rose Olson.
