Ruby Jensen, 80, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 at Tufte Manor – Valley Memorial Home in Grand Forks.
Ruby Hamberg was born Aug.16, 1923 in Nelson Park Township, Marshall County, the daughter of Jons and Gunda (Nelson) Hamberg.
She spent her early years in Nelson Park Township and attended school in Karlstad.
On July 3, 1941, she married Norman Jensen at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Stephen. They made their home in rural Stephen where they farmed. They retired from farming in 1981 and moved into Stephen. Norman died July 2, 1982.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the St. Petri Circle and a former member of St. Petri Lutheran Church.
Ruby loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening.
Family survivors are five children; A. (J.) Jensen, Dalton; J. (C.) Krabbenhoft, Elk River; J. (S.) Jensen, Lake City; R. (J.) Jensen, Stephen and B. Jensen, Stephen; 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters; Ann Merdink, Stephen and Nan Hamberg and V. Hvidsten both of Thief River Falls; brother, Roy Hamberg, Staples and many nieces and nephews.
