Inyce Hendricks was born May 9, 1920 to Carl and Marie Benson. Inyce passed away at the Good Samaritan Society in Warren, MN on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the age of 91 years.
Inyce was born and raised in Augsburg Township. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church of rural Stephen. She attended school first in Stephen, then completed her schooling in Karlstad. After high school she attended Ackers Business College. Following her graduation she worked at Tri State Labs and Minnesota Dairy, both in Grand Forks, ND.
Inyce was married to Robert Hendricks December 6, 1943. They made their home first in Stephen but moved to the farm in 1964. They raised three children. Inyce also worked at the Stephen Public School for several years after moving to the farm.
Inyce was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was active in the church as a Sunday School teacher and in the circles and Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary. She was an adult leader in 4-H. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crossword puzzles, and reading.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Robert; son R Duane Hendricks (Claudette LeBlanc) of Calgary, Alberta, CANADA; daughter Marilyn (Steve) George of Bloomington, MN; son Brian (Jean) Hendricks of Stephen, MN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Christina, Joe, Melissa, Benjamin, Jonathan, Christopher, and Ethan; and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Curtis (Jackie) Benson of Stephen, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Verna Koland, and Ella Olson; and one grandchild.
