Wittman, Beverly Elain (Ekwall) (1934-2011)

Beverly Wittman, 77, of Warren, MN, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday Morning, June 24, 2011 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND., with her family by her side after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Funeral services were held at 3 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warren, MN. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at DuBore Funeral Home in Warren and one hour before services on Thursday at the Church. Interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN.

Beverly Elaine Ekwall was born on February 7, 1934 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Stucy) Ekwall. She was raised in the Goodridge area and graduated from Goodridge High School.

On March 22, 1952, Bev married Laurel Wittman in Goodridge. They made their home in rural Warren where they farmed and raised seven children. She also worked at Arctic Cat and the Good Samaritan Center.

She was a membeer of Zion Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Cub Scout Den Leader and a volunteer driver for Marshall County Social Services.

Bev loved spenting time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, fishing, playing the piano/accordin and working in her flower/vegetable gardens.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Laurel; seven children, Laurel Jr. (Sonja) Wittman of Camano Island, Washington, Sharon (Pastor Craig) Haberman of Tracy, Sheryl Northup of Thief River Falls, Larry Wittman of Badger, John (Inna) Wittman of Goleta, CA, Carol (Greg)Kilen, of Warren, and Pamela (Jason) McDonald of Allen, TX; 22 grandchioldren; 8 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Arda Felix of Forest Lake, and Gloria (Jim) Jesperson of Prior Lake; brother, Clinton ( Betty) Ekwall of Big Stone City, SD; sister-in-law, Marlene (Sig) Silnes of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
