Gladys Aase, 77, Warren, MN, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Gladys June Myrfield was born on Dec. 5 1928 in Warren, the daughter of Olaf and Gertrude (Qualley) Myrfield. She was Baptized in the Lutheran faith and Confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Gladys attended country school near Warren. On Feb. 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Dennis Anderson and they made their home in Warren. She worked at the Wagon Wheel Cafe, Ben Franklin, Cities Service Gas Station and the Warren Clinic. Dennis died on April 2, 1983. She was united in marriage to Selvin Aase on Nov. 5, 1983. They made their home in Warren.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, TOPS and a volunteer at the Warren Food Shelf.
Gladys loved her family – children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, especially Christmas. Gladys enjoyed baking, sewing, making crafts, gardening and playing cards.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Selvin and seven children; Donald (Susan) Anderson of Hallock, MN, Deborah (Darrell) Robinson of Ft. Smith, AR, Cheryl (James) Novak of Tabor, MN, Virlynn (Pete) Hanson of Warren, MN, Roberta (James) Stengl of East Grand Forks, MN, Ronald (Jill) Anderson of Warroad, MN and Jon (Patti) Anderson of Evansville, WI, seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister, Alice (Melvin) Ethier of Argyle, MN, three sisters-in-law, Doris Aase and Elaine Myrfield both of Warren, MN and Ellen Aase of Grand Forks, ND, two brothers-in-law, Curtis (Lil) Anderson and Marlin (Darlene) Anderson all of Warren, MN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dennis, three brothers, Adolph, LaVerne and Oscar and sister, Bernice.
