Marlin Anderson, 72, of Warren, MN, died on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Marlin was born on September 11, 1939 in Warren, the son of Edwin and Hannah (Berg) Anderson. He was a life long resident of the Warren area and he graduated from Newfolden High School in 1957. On July 17, 1959, Marlin married Darlene Gehrls. They made their home in Warren. He worked for Roy Westberg on the farm, drove bulk truck, worked for McGregor Farms before going to work for the city of Warren as the Head of the Gas Department. After he retired, he again worked for McGregor Farms.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he served as the Treasurer.
Marlin loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed visiting and having coffee with his friends.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Darlene of Grand Forks, ND; two children, James Anderson of Shelby, MT and Jacki (Duane) Hince of Grand Forks, ND; five grandchildren, Jeremy (April) Anderson, Jacob (Danielle) Landreville, Joe Hince, Miranda Anderson (Keith Baker) and Cassie Jones; one great-granddaughter, Addisyn Baker; two “special” great-granddaughters, Evin and Jae; brother, Curtis (Lillian) Anderson of Warren, MN; brother-in-law, Alan (Joan) Gehrls of Strandqusit, MN and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Gladys.
