Clifford Baird, 73, died on March 5 at the North Valley Health Center in Warren. Funeral services will be held today, March 9 at 2 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Warren.
Clifford Baird was born on August 2, 1921 in Detroit Lakes, the son of Samuel D. and Eva Baird. He was raised in Baker and graduated from high school at Barnesville. He went to school for watch repair and worked at Wimmers Jewelry in Fargo, ND. In 1944, he moved to Warren where he farmed. On June 6, 1946 he was united in marriage to Eileen Myrfield. Clifford retired from farming in 1989. Clifford was an officer for Boxville township Marshall County for over 40 years. He was also an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and an avid Pony fans.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen, daughter, Linda Giedd, Grand Forks, MN; two sons, Robert and Michael both of Warren; four grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Celeste Armstrong; and three brothers, William, Frank, and Felix.
