Morris Bergerson, 82, died Thursday, December 24, 1998 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.
Memorial services will be held in the spring. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Middle River. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
Morris Orville Bergerson was born January 5, 1916 in Strathcona, the son of Hogan and Carrie (Sampson) Bergerson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Klondike Church. He attended rural District 87 school in Benwood. He also studied electronics in Duluth. Morris stayed on the family farm in Poplar Grove township of Roseau county until 1958 when he moved to Chicago, IL. In 1970 he moved to St. Paul where he worked for Goodwill Industries. He returned to Thief River Falls in 1981.
Morris is survived by three sisters, Helen Bergerson of Apache Junction, AZ, Nora (George) Murray of Hammond, IN, and Mabel “May” (Stanley) Urbon of Pontiac, MO; four brothers, Rudolph (Marie) Bergerson, Hogan (Martha) Bergerson Jr., Olaf Bergerson and Donald (Rose Marie) Bergerson, all of Apache Junction, AZ; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Thelma Olson; and one brother, Allen Bergerson.
