Ole Bodell, a Warren farmer for more than 31 years, died suddenly on his farm five miles east of this city Friday, March 11, 1927, cause of death being attributed to heart failure. Mr. Bodell was 67 years old at the time of death. Mr. Bodell had been enjoying fair health during the past winter and was going about his usual farm work Friday, being in the hayloft of his barn pushing down hay to feed his stock when all of a sudden he felt an attack and died instantly. He was found a short while after his death by his sons who were working on the first floor of the barn.
Deceased was born September 24, 1859 in Helsingland, Sweden, coming to America 39 years ago and after spending a few years in other parts of the country moved to Marshall County in 1886 where he has since made his home. Since his marriage to Christine Anderson they were blessed with eight children of which three were girls and three were boys. One boy and one girl preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted yesterday at the Swedish Mission Church in Warren.
