Clarence “Casey” Eide, 87, Grand Forks, ND, died on Monday, October 16, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.
Clarence Edwin Eide was born on June 14, 1919 in Oak Park Township, Marshall County, MN, the son of Jacob and Clara (Nelson) Eide. He attended country school. At a young age he enlisted in the U. S. Army. Clarence served during World War II in several places including the Aleutian Islands. After the war, he reenlisted and served in several different countries. He was honorably discharged from the Army on July 31, 1963. After his discharge, he made his home in Grand Forks. Clarence moved to the Good Samaritan Center in November of 2004.
Left to mourn his passing are two sisters, Nina Vail of Lake Hurst, NJ and Esther Mager of Grand Forks, ND, two brothers, Wilbert (Esther) Eide of Oslo, MN and Erling (Beatrice) Eide of Frazee, MN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Gladys Berg, Agnes Bishop and Melinda Eide and three brothers, Wilhelm, Melvin and Bjarne.
