Lila May Eukel, 97, formerly of Warren, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 1990, in Walnut Creek, Calif.
Services will be Saturday afternoon in Walnut Creek. Graveside services will be in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery, Warren. Local arrangements are with Quanrud Funeral Home, Warren.
Lila May Horsfall was born July 11, 1892, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Barbara and Harvey Horsfall. She married Fred John Eukel Dec. 21, 1910, in St. Ansgar, Iowa. They lived in Plummer, Minn., and Warren. After Fred Eukel died in March 1949, she moved to California where she was a cook for many years at a sorority house at the University of California, Berkeley.
Survivors are her daughters, Gladys Markman, Stockton, Calif., Lila (Mrs. Harold) Golden, Warren; sons, Stanley J., Pittsburg, Calif, Warren, Walnut Creek, Marvin, Hallock, Minn., Donald, New Orleans, La.; 27 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Johnson, and son, Fred John.
