Norman Folden, 86, Newfolden, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1987, in Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Evangelical Free Church, Newfolden. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service, in Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, and one hour before services in the church.
Norman Johannes Folden was born Nov. 24, 1900, in New Folden Township of Marshall County, Minn., the son of Arnold and Sine Folden. He grew up and attended rural schools there. He worked as a hired man for area farmers and later joined his father to farm the home place. He married Bertha Hanson March 16, 1946, near East Grand Forks. They lived and farmed at the home place. He drove bus for the Newfolden School system for several years. Bertha Folden died April 29, 1983.
Survivors are sisters, Elizabeth Erikson, Grand Forks, Edna Hendrickson, Warren, Minn.; brothers, Bernhard, Pine Grove, Calif.; and Rev. Alvin, Sun City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his wife; brother, Arne, and sister, Marie.
