Lars Gjelness was born in Norway November 23, 1868. He died Thursday, November 3, 1938 at the age of 70 years at the home of Hubert Ginter. Mr. Gjelness came to America at the the age of 13 with his mother. He came to Oak Park in 1900 and in February, 1924 he went to make his home with the Hubert Ginter family and resided with them until his death. He leaves to mourn, one brother Fred W. Gjelsness, several nieces and nephews, one nephew, Ole Kleven of Oslo. Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran church with Rev. Redal officiating. Burial was made at the Oslo cemetery.
