Gunderson, Bella (1874-1957)


Funeral services for Mrs. Bella Gunderson were held today (Monday) at 2:00 p. m. in the Silver Creek Lutheran church with Rev. James Peterson officiating. Interment will be made in the Silver Creek cemetery. Mrs. Gunderson passed away April 24, at the age of 83 years.

Mrs. Gunderson was born March 12, 1874 at Satersdal, Norway and came with her parents to the United States at the age of 12 years. They settled at Grand Forks, where she attended school and grew to womanhood.

In October, 1901, she was united in marriage to Nels Gunderson and they moved to his homestead in Agder township, where they resided until the time of his death in 1946. At that time Mrs. Gunderson moved to this city, where she had since made her home.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Peter Klungness (Bertha), Mrs. Harold Rasmusson (Selma) both of this city, Erma Gunderson of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Joe Lukes (Nettie) of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. R. M. Beeler (Ruby) of Mill Valley, Calif., Mrs. Don Lundrigon (Thea) of Pine River, Minn.; one son, Chester Gunderson of this city; four sisters, Mrs. George Fritz (Julia) of St. Paul, Mrs. Harold Lundeen (Anna) of Minneapolis, Mrs. Tillie Tronnes of St. Paul, Sarah Niemann of Harriman, Tennessee; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
