Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran church at Hold for Mrs. Lawrence Haglund, 80, who died Saturday, December 30, at the Northwestern hospital.
Rev. Kenneth Kramer officiated at the services. Mrs. Orville Larson was the organist and Marvin Sandberg the soloist. Interment was in the Folden cemetery with the Green Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Harry Enggen, Ted Ness, Ben Garthes, Stanley Holmaas, Willie Garfve and Robert Johnson.
Mrs. Haglund, the former Evelyn Tobiason, was born April 16, 1907 at Goodwin, S.D. to Theodore and Ida Tobiason. At the age of 5 years, she moved to the Holt community with her parents. There she attended school and grew to womanhood. On June 22, 1934 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Haglund of Holt. The couple lived at Hold for a time before moving to Tacoma, Wash. In 1948, they returned to Holt where they had since made their home.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; two sons: Lawrence Haglund, Jr., of Holt and John of Plummer; three daughters: Mrs. Arian (Esther) McFarland of Oslo, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Osse of Middle River and Mable Haglund of Thief River Falls; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Tobiason of Thief River Falls and one sister, Mrs. John (Muriel) Anderson of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
