Lawrence Haglund, 64, a resident of the Holt community for many years, died Wednesday evening at Northwestern Hospital.
Funeral services for Lawrence Haglund were held Saturday at 2 pm. At the Green Funeral chapel, Rev. Kenneth Kramer officiated and interment was in the Folden cemetery.
Special music was provided at the services by Mrs. Sherman Idso, who served as organist and soloist.
Lawrence Haglund was born June 14, 1903 at Roseau. There he attended school and grew to manhood. On June 22, 1934, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Tobiason at Holt. After their marriage they lived for a while at Holt before moving to Tacoma, Wash. In 1948 they returned to Holt where they had since resided.
Survivors include two sons: Lawrence Haglund, Jr., of Holt and John of Plummer; three daughters: Mrs. Arlan (Esther) McFarland of Oslo, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Osse of Middle River and Mabel Haglund of Thief River Falls and 10 grandchildren.
Also three sisters: Mrs. Paul Loppe and Mrs. Hilma Sundquist both of Tacoma, Wash., and Christine Haglund of Thief River Falls; and one brother, Albert Haglund of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 30, 1967, one brother and a sister.
