Ruth Hanson, 89 Warren, MN, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Ruth Margaret Kvikstad was born on Nov. 5, 1916 in Argyle, MN, the daughter of Peter E. and Emma (Windahl) Kvikstad. She was Baptized and Confirmed in Argyle. Ruth graduated from Warren High School and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. On Oct. 1, 1934, she was united in marriage to Albert Hanson and they made their home in Warren. She worked at Tillies Drive In, Hartz, Nick’s Red Owl and for 16 years at the Marshall County Treasurers office, retiring in 1983. Albert died on Sept. 9, 1986. Ruth moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Sept. of 2002
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Warren.
Ruth loved her family – children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved gardening, baking and reading.
Left to mourn her passing are five children; JoAnn (Harold) Skunes of South St. Paul, MN, Janice (James) Pulkrabek of Euclid, MN, Carol (Verl) Schuft of San Diego, CA, Nancy (John) Abrahamson of Osseo, MN and John Peter (Virlynn) Hanson of Warren, MN, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Victor and Elmer and sister, Adele, infant son, James and two grandsons, Brian and Jay.
