Bonnie Joy James, 55, of Park Rapids, MN, formerly of Warren, MN,passed away on April 29, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
Bonnie Westberg was born on April 26, 1952 in Warren, the daughter of Wendell and Eleanor (Engen) Westberg. She was raised in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1970. Bonnie married John Woinarowicz. They made their home in Warren. They had two children, Tammy and Jeremy. Bonnie graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Social Work. She moved to Park Rapids in 1994 and went to work for Hubbard County Social Services. Bonnie married Lorin James on January 02, 1998. They made their home in Park Rapids.
Bonnie’s joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Bonnie had a strong faith. She loved her family and friends unconditionally, often putting them before herself and would do anything to put a smile on their faces. She also enjoyed many years of traveling.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Lorin James of Park Rapids, MN; two children, Tammy (Troy) Vanyo of Alvarado, MN and Jeremy (Jaime) Woinarowicz of Warren, MN; four grandchildren, Ian, Mason, Kaden and Jackson; three stepchildren, Andy (Amanda) James, Samantha (Randy) Brown and Amber James; three stepgrandchldren, Austin, Dante and Harley; several cousins, neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepdaughter, Miki.
