Beatrice Johnson, 84, Grand Forks, ND formerly of rural Alvarado, MN , died on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at her home in Grand Forks, ND.
Beatrice Quern was born on February 28, 1921 in rural East Grand Forks, MN, the daughter of Ole and Clara (Bang) Quern. She spent her early years in Oslo, MN. In 1941, she married Harold Carlson. Harold died on December 10, 1943. Beatrice married Bud Johnson on December 31, 1954. They made their home in rural Alvarado until to moving to Grand Forks about a year ago.
She was a long time treasurer of Oak Park Township.
Beatrice enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking care of her yard and flowers and she was a great Minnesota Twins fan.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Bud and three children; Carol Boushee of Cambridge, MN, Richard (Nancy) Carlson of Minnetonka, MN and Ralph (DeLana) Johnson of Fargo, ND, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sister, Elaine (Dennis) Kollin of Alvarado, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, two grandchildren, Carman and Ryan Johnson, son-in-law, Duane Boushee, two sisters, Erma and Edeia and brother, Gerald.
