Rites for Anna Larson Held at Covenant Church
Funeral services for Anna Larson, 81, life time resident of Marshall County, were held Friday at Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren. Miss Larson died August 24 at Warren Hospital where she had been a patient for a week.
Rev. Fred Granstrom officiated at the service and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren. Mrs. John Peterson was the organist and vocal selections were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Anderson of Hallock and by Mrs. Jim Anderson, also of Hallock. Albert Dalman, R. H. Quanrud, Elmer Lindstrom, Clifford Hedquist, H. F. Hedquist and John Modin were pallbearers.
Anna Larson was born Sept. 8, 1889 in Foldahl Township to Oscar and Marie Larson. She moved with her parents when a small girl to Vega Township where she attended school and grew up. In the fall of 1940 she moved to Warren. A niece, Mrs. Marvin (Eileen) Mathiason, made her home with Miss Larson from the time she was 3 years old until she was married. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren. She never married. She had been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center here the past several years.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Dan (Ida) Ostrand of Martinez, Calif., Mrs. Emil (Alma) Hill of Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Sam (Olga) Oswald of Thief River Falls; four brothers, Algot Larson, Axel Larson and Willie Larson, all of Warren; and Hilbert Larson of Alvarado. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elmer.
