Helge T. Lindquist, 68, of Warren and formerly of Newfolden, died unexpectedly Monday, February 25, at the Warren Hospital.
Funeral services for Helge Lindquist were held Thursday at 2 p.m., at the Evangelical Covenant church in Warren. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery in Warren.
Helge T. Lindquist was born at Hoganaas, Sweden on May 20, 1905 to Nels and Hilda Lindquist. He immigrated to America with his family in 1912, settling in the Newfolden community. There he attended school, was confirmed and grew to manhood. In August of 1932 he married Olive Lee at Newfolden.
Lindquist farmed for many years in the Newfolden community. He later served as county grain storage supervisor. He was also active in community affairs, having served as town clerk, township assessor and on the school, town and creamery boards.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, seven grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by an only brother, Gunnar, who died two months ago.
