Leslie Maurstad, 89, of rural Argyle, MN, passed away early Saturday morning, August 30, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.
Leslie Eskil Maurstad was born on Oct. 15, 1924 in Teien Township, Kittson County, MN, the son of Ole and Olga (Andeen) Maurstad. He was raised in Teien Township and Argyle, MN where he attended school. On Nov. 1, 1950, he was united in marriage to Lois “Jean” Holmstrom. They made their home in San Diego, CA and South St. Paul, MN before moving to rural Argyle in 1973. Leslie was an over the road truck driver hauling Ford vehicles from the Ford plant in St. Paul and he also farmed. Leslie and Lois spent many winters in Arizona.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN and the Eagles Club. Leslie was an avid reader who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis and brothers, Maurice, Myron, Peter and Milford.
