James Monson, 88, of rural Argyle, MN, died on Tuesday morning, February 24, 2009 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
James Carl Monson was born on August 18,1920 in Big Woods Township, Marshall County, MN, the son of Joseph and Hilda (Aasand) Monson. In 1934, he moved with his family to Foldahl Township, Marshall County, MN. He attended country school. James was a life long farmer who continued to live on the family farm in Foldahl Township.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to trap and hunt. James enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his brother, Maxwell and reminiscing about the “good old days.”
Left to mourn his passing are two sisters, Helen Aas of Oslo, MN and Joyce Haugen of Argyle, MN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lyman, Norton and Maxwell and two sisters, Mildred Nordblom and Jean Lindblad.
