Donald L. Munger, 73, Warren, MN passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Sanford Wheaton Medical Center in Wheaton, MN.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 8 at 10:30 AM at Grace Methodist Church in Warren with Rev. Jeff Gustafson officiating. Music will be provided by organist Mari Lee Stenerson and vocalist Les Howard. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his friends. Active pallbearers will be Steve Jastram, Joe Jastram, Don Dahlman, James Moeller, Jimmy Dahlman and Steven Dahlman. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the DuBore Funeral Home in Warren and will continue Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. The Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD and the DuBore Funeral Home in Warren are in charge of the arrangements.
Donald Lee was born March 14, 1941 to Lee and Ruth (Kurz) Munger in Warren. He attended school in Warren, graduating from Warren High School in 1959. For most of his life, Don farmed in Warren with his dad and his uncle. He worked for the city of Warren for 12 years in the recycling department.
After Don retired, he moved to the Good Samaritan Heritage Grove in East Grand Forks, MN in 2009. In 2012, he moved to Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks and in October 2014, Don made his home in the Northeast Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rosholt.
Don enjoyed bowling and calling friends and relatives for their birthdays.
Left to mourn him are his brother, Ned (Sally) Munger of Hidden Valley Lake, CA; sister, Nancy (Steve) Jastram of Rosholt; brother, Mark (Luchy) Munger of Riverview, FL; stepmother, Helen Munger of Hixon, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Ruth Munger; brother: John Wayne; and grandparents: M.W. and Anna Munger and Arthur and Mary Kurz.
