Alfred Nabben, 73, died Wednesday, June 3, 1987, in Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, and one hour before services in the church.
Alfred Nabben was born Aug 21, 1913, in Agder Township of Marshall County, Minn., where he grew up. He married Cora Runnestrand Dec. 2, 1939, in Mavie, Minn. They farmed in Marshall County until 1966.
Survivors are his wife; son, LaVern, Thief River Falls; daughters, Cheryl (Mrs. Jack) Srnsky, St. Hilaire, Minn., Corinne (Mrs. Duane) Opdahl and LaVonne (Mrs. Wendell) Wegge, both of Thief River Falls; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold, Thief River Falls, Victor, Niagara, N.D., Erland, Cudahy, Wis.; and sisters, Johanna Green, Grafton, N.D., Josephine Dunbar, Milwaukee, and Adeline Moe, Thief River Falls.
He was preceded in death by one grandson and three brothers.
