Harold Nabben, 80

Thief River Falls
— Harold Nabben, 80, died
on Wednesday, November 1 at the
Good Samaritan Home in Warren.
Funeral services were held on
Saturday, November 4 at 11 a.m. at
Silver Creek Lutheran Church, rural
Thief River Falls, with Reverend
Nancy Werner officiating. Special
music was provided by organist
Carmen Gustafson and soloist Don
Lunke. Congregational hymns were
"Lift High The Cross" and
"Beautiful Savior."
Casketbearers were Dean
Kaushagen, Doyle Nelson, Roy
Nelson, Dale Nabben, Ronald Moe,
Manvel Green, Ardell Nabben, and
Lavern Nabben. Interment was at
Bethlehem Cemetery, Agder town-
ship, Marshall county with arrange-
ments by Green Funeral Home,
Thief River Falls.
Harold Nabben was born on
March 17, 1915 in Goodridge to
Haaken and Marth (Mortenson)
Nabben. He was baptized and con-
firmed in the Lutheran Faith. He
attended school in Goodridge and
the Northwest School of Agriculture
in Crookston where he graduated.
After graduation he was drafted
into the United States Air Force and
served during WWII in Australia
and Japan. He was honorably dis-
charged in 1946.
Harold was united in marriage to
Edith Ramberg on February 25,
1944 in Salt Lake City, UT. The
couple farmed and lived in Agder
township, Marshall county where
Harold was also a substituted rural
mail carrier.
He was a member of the Silver
Creek Lutheran Church, the Thief
River Falls American Legion and
the Eagles Club and enjoyed hunt-
ing.
He is survived by his wife Edith,
Thief River Falls; brother, Victor,
Grand Forks, ND; sisters Johanna
Green, Grafton, ND, Adeline Moe,
Thief River Falls, Josephine
Dunbar, Milwaukee, WI; many
nieces, nephews, relatives, and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his
parents and brothers Alfred, Percy,
Mathis, Erland, and Henry.
