Bethlehem Lutheran

Funeral services for Mathis
Nabben, 69, of Plummer, were
held Thursday at 2:30 p.m., at the
Bethlehem Lutheran church, east
of Thief River Falls. Nabben, a
former resident of Agder
township, Marshall county, died
Monday, August 13, at Nor-
thwestern hospital.
Rev. David Molstre officiated
at the services. Organist and
soloist was Mrs. Arnold Ham-
mer. Interment was in the church
cemetery with the Green Funeral
home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Randall
Hagen, David Schwartz, Ronald
Moe, Lavern Nabben, Henry
Nabben and Ardell Nabben.
Mathis Nabben, a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Haggen
Nabben, was born Sept. 6, 1903 at
Edmore, N.D. When he was one
year old he moved with his
parents to Marshall county,
settling in Agder township. There
he attended school and grew to
manhood. On Oct. 20, 1937, he was
married at Mavie to Hazel
Runnestrand. The couple farmed
in Agder township until 1953 and
since then they have lived in the
Plummer community.
He was a member of the
Bethlehem Lutheran church for
many years.
Survivors are his wife, five
brothers: Percy, Alfred, and
Harold Nebben, all of Thief River
Falls, Victor of Niagara, N.D.,
and Erland of Cudahay, Wis.;
three sisters: Mrs. George
(Johanna) Green of Grafton,
N.D.; Mrs. Manvel (Adeline)
Moe of Thief River Falls and
Mrs. Nelson (Josephine) Dunbar
of Milwaukee, Wis.; and several
nieces and nephews.
One brother preceded him in
death.
