Funeral services for Percy Nabben,
73, of Thief River Falls were held
Friday, December 27 at 2:30 p.m., at
Our Saviour's Lutheran church.
Nabben died Sunday, December 22, at
Northwest Medical center. He was
afflicted with cerebral palsy at an
early age and had lived at Oakland
Park Nursing tome[sic] for the past 26
Funeral services for Percy Nabben
were held Friday at 2:30 p.m., at Our
Saviour's Lutheran church with Rev.
Les Galland officiating. Speaking on
behalf of the famly was Rev. Dale
Nabben. Randy Moe was the soloist
and Mrs. Gary Erickson, the organist.
Interment will be in the Bethlehem
cemetery with the Green Funeral
home in charge of arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers were residents
and staff at Oakland Park
Serving as active pallbearers were
Arvid Olson, Kenneth Ose, Carl
Berggren, Norris Trochman, Bernard
Wold and Art Moe.
Percy Nabben was born March 22,
1912 in Agder township of Marshall
county to Haagen and Martha Mor-
tenson Nabben. He received his
elementary education in rural school
district 118, and grew to adulthood in
Agder township. Due to his affliction,
he lived with his parents on their farm
in Agder township until 1941, when he
moved with them into Thief River Falls.
Surviving are four brothers: Alfred
and Harold Nabben, Thief River
Falls; Victor of Niagara, N.D.; and
Erland, Cudahay, Wis.; three sisters:
Johanna Green, Grafton, N.D.;
Josephine Dunbar, Milwaukee, Wis.;
and Adeline Moe, Thief River Falls;
and several nieces, nephews and
