Lillian Novak, 90, Warren, MN, died on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Lillian Dorothy Michalek was born on November 30, 1914 in Langdon, ND, the daughter of Peter and Annie (Kyncl) Michalek. She attended Turtle River Country School. Lillian lived in the Euclid, Oslo, Manvel and Warren areas with her family as youth. On November 12, 1946, she was united in marriage to Emil Novak at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Warren. They made their home in East Grand Forks, MN where they farmed. In 1961, they moved to Warren. Emil died on April 26, 1963. Lillian moved to the Landmark Center in 1997.
She was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Warren Hospital Auxiliary.
Lillian loved to make quilts. She also volunteered at the Warren Senior Meals for sixteen years.
Left to mourn her passing is a brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Carol Michalek of Paulsbo, WA and Argyle, MN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Peter, John and Albert.
