Funeral services for Mrs. Hilmer (Juanita) Odberg, 51, of Newfolden, who died Tuesday evening at Northwestern hospital, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free church at Newfolden.
Rev. Earl Eveland officiated in the services. Mrs. Merle Bjornrud was the organist. Vocal solos were by Mrs. Kore Myhrer and Mrs. Stan Holmaas. Interment was in the Oak Grove cemetery with the Green Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers were Egil Peterson, Art Meon, Clayton Blinsmon, Stanley Holmans, Virgil Mereil and Warren Robison.
Mrs. Odberg, the former Juanita Wyman, was born March 20, 1917 at Graceville to Clarence and Rosele Wyman, now deceased. In 1925 she moved with her parents to the Newfolden community. There she attended school and grew to womanhood. On Nov. 28, 1931, she was united in marriage at Spruce Valley township, Marshall county, to Hilmer Odberg. The couple lived for a time on the West coast and the Iron Range and for the past 26 years had made their home at Newfolden.
Survivors include her husband; two sons: Richard Odberg of Newfolden and H. Glenn of Minneapolis; three daughters: Mrs. Reuben (Marjorie) Finstad of Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Bob (Virginia) Wander of Cambridge and Mrs. Merle (Rebecca) Jesme of Middle River; and 10 grandchildren.
Also one brother: Glenn Wyman of Devils Lake, N.D. and seven sisters: Mrs. Harry Siefert of Minneapolis; Mrs. Al Holdgrafter of Chisholm, Mrs. Bud Cool of Bear River, Mrs. Melvin Perkins of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Wilford Kehoe of Cook, Mrs. Matt Stanelk of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Emil larson of Buhl.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Martin, and one brother, Chester Wyman.
