ANNA OEN RITES AT
SATERSDAL CHURCH MONDAY
Mrs. Anna Elise Oen, 72, was summoned September 6 at a local hospital and funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Satersdal Lutheran church, the Rev. Jonas Helland officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Oen was born December 29, 1877 at Amery, Wisc. and moved to Ringbo in 1885 and was married there to Harold Oen on June 28, 1897, he preceding her in death in 1941. They homesteaded in Excel township, Marshall county in 1897 and farmed there until 1910 when they moved to Saskatchewan, Canada. In 1938 they returned to their farm. She has made her home with her children since 1945.
Survivors include six daughters and six sons, Mrs. William Foulkers of Anerley, Sask., Mrs. Oscar Odegard of Bratton, Sask., Can., Mrs. Wilmar Kenney of Kingston, Ont., Cana., Mrs. Roy Billett of Brandon, Man., Can., Mrs. Lloyd Nelson and Mrs. Clifford Nelson of this city, Roy Oen of Milden, Sask., Can., Arthur of Bounty, Sask., Can., Oscar and Stanley of Pontiac, Mich., George Oen of Elyria, Ohio and Henry Oen of this city. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Christ Myere of LacVert, Sask., Can. and Mrs. Roy Wylie of Bonanza, Alberta, Can., three brothers, Louis and John Borge of Rola B.C., Can.; 28 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
