ELLA OVERUM, 80
Ella Overum, 80, died April 2 at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held April 7 at the Our Saviour’s Free Lutheran church in Thief River Falls with Rev. James Molstre officiating. Special music was provided by Grace Hammer, soloist, and Carmen Gustafson, organist. Caskerbearers were Carl Berggren, Dean Kaushagen, Harold Nabben, Leslie Nelson, Norris Trochmann and Rueben Wold. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ella Constance Overum was born Nov. 13, 1911 in Adger township, Marshall county, the daughter of Carl and Christine (Shirley) Overum. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church near her home until it closed in 1975. She received her elementary education in rural Sunnyside school district 121. After her parents died, she and her sister, Clara, remained on the farm until it was sold. They moved to Thief River Falls and became residents of Valley Home. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Free Lutheran church and the Silver Creek Home study group.
She is survived by several cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Clara Overum.
