Paschke, Johanna (Misialek) (1909-2007)

Johanna Paschke, 98, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Oslo, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at 4000 Valley Square in Grand Forks, ND.

Johanna Paschke was born on July 28, 1909 in Walsh County, ND, the daughter of Matt and Christina (Passa) Misialek. Johanna was raised on a farm north of Warsaw and attended school in Oakwood Township.

Johanna married Frank L. Paschke on June 27, 1926. They farmed in Washville Township. Later they moved to Argyle, MN. While living there they owned a restaurant. After they lived in Argyle, they moved to Grand Forks, ND and then back to Walshville Township in 1940. Frank died on July 13, 1962. Johanna was a house mother at Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority in Grand Forks, ND. In 1972, she moved to Oslo, MN where she was a cook at the Oslo Public School. Due to poor health in 1989, she moved into Saint Ann’s Guest Home. After the 1997 flood, she moved into Valley Eldercare Center then later to 4000 Valley Square in Grand Forks, ND where she has resided until the time of her death.

Johanna is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Dan) Stoltman of Grand Forks, ND, son, Duane (Audrey) Paschke of Oslo, MN, 4 grandsons, Wayne (Janice) Stoltman, Dean (Cherie) Stoltman, Perry (Special Friend Greta Kyllo) Paschke, Paul (Linda) Paschke, great-grandchildren, Andy (Tracey) Stoltman, Shauna Stoltman, Marit Paschke, Brandon Paschke, Collin Paschke and Devin Paschke, 1 great-great-grandson Bryce Stoltman.
