Arden Paulson, 74, died at his home Tuesday, March 15, 2005.
Arden Ralph Paulson, son of the late Erick and Hilda (Sjo) Paulson, was born March 20, 1930, in Augsburg Township, Marshall County, near Stephen.
He attended school and grew to manhood there, and was baptized and confirmed at the Salem Lutheran Church where he was a life-long member. On July 21, 1951, Arden was united in marriage to Esther Haattvedt at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Halma. The couple resided in the Stephen and Drayton communities for several years, and in 1960, moved to their present farm in Deerwood Township, Kittson County, near Karlstad.
Arden loved horses and was a part of the Roseau County Centennial Wagon Train. He also enjoyed visiting with his coffee buddies at the cafe, and especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; one son: Greg (Carmen), Homestead, Fla.; three daughters: Pat (Tim) Kuznia, Aurora; Vicki (Geff) Ferguson, Orlando, Fla.; and Marcy (Don) Hendrickson, Karlstad; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother: Paul (Irene), Karlstad; four sisters: Evelyn Heggen, Hallock; Bernice (Bill) Lindell and Jane Anderson, both of Stephen; and Ardell (Marshall) Fering, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Arden was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Michael in 1970, and two sisters: Margaret and one in infancy.
