Rites to be Held
October 30 for
Christ Peterson

Funeral services will be held
at the Bethlehem Lutheran chur-
ch in rural Thief River Falls
Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., for
Christ M. Peterson, residentĀ of
this city the past year, who pass-
ed away at a local hospital Mon-
day morning at the age of 80
years. Rev. J. Helland will con-
duct the rites and burial will be
made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Peterson was born March
3, 1870 in Norway and moved
with his parents in 1885 to Nor-
thwood, N.D. In 1896 he and his
brother, Hans settled on a home-
stead in Moylan township, Mar-
shall county. In 1903 he moved
to Glasgow, Mont., where he
farmed until 1941 when he re-
tired to Nashua, Mont. He has
been a resident of the Red River
Valley Home for the Aged in
this city the past year.
He is survived by a son, Clar-
ence of Chicago, Ill., a daughter,
Mrs. Ann Warren of Warrington,
Oregon, three grandchildren, a
sister, Mrs. I. Braaten of Seat-
tle, Wash., and a brother, Hans
of this city. His wife, a son, three
sisters and two brothers preced-
ed him in death.
