Robert John Peterson Jr. passed away unexpectedly June 24, 2010 in Santa Clarita, CA.
Bob was born to Robert and Leatha Peterson on May 1, 1948 in Warren, MN. He grew up in Warren, attended NDSU and served in the N.D. Air National Guard. Bob was married to his high school sweetheart Polly (Erickson) for 39 years. Together they enjoyed life on their family farm and raised two children, Mandy and Jonas. Those close to Bob knew him to be a man of prayer, warmth, exceptional generosity and uncommon wisdom. Bob was a humble gentleman who valued character and invested endless amounts of love, humor, time and energy into his family. He loved farming, enjoyed cars and was fittingly self described to be, “quite a guy” and “out standing” in his field.
During the farming years, vacation time was spent at the family’s log cabin near Bemidji, MN. With Bob heading up the activities, Polly and the kids enjoyed countless fond memories together as a family. After 33 years of farming, he was finally available to do some traveling. His travels took him to Arizona and Minneapolis where his presence was highly sought after by his children and grandchildren, who adored him.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Polly of Warren; One daughter Mandy (Chad) Bertram and her children Annika and Luke of Hanover, MN; One son Jonas (Leah) Peterson and his children Ethan and Lincoln of Santa Clarita, CA; One Sister Mary Beth Denham; and niece Bayley Denham of Minneapolis, MN.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
