Leatrice “Lea” Peyton, 75, of Warren, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, December 6, 2007 at the North Valley Health Center in Warren, MN.
Leatrice Ann Davidson was born on October 14, 1932 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Oscar and Alma (Sonnerberg) Davidson. She spent her early years in Grand Forks where she attended school. After high school, she worked for Nodak Electric Co-Op and at the Grand Forks County Courthouse. On May 27, 1955, she was united in marriage to Oliver Jay Peyton in Grand Forks. They moved to Warren in 1956. Lea worked at PKM Electric Co-Op for several years.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. Lea was also a member of the Warren American Legion Auxiliary, Homemakers and a charter member of the Mawami Club. She also volunteered for Marshall County Social Services.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Oliver Jay and three sons, David Peyton of Apple Valley, CA, Michael (Allison) Peyton of Grand Forks, ND and Brad (Ronda) Peyton of Lake Crystal, MN; four grandchildren, Ryan, Bailey, Kylie and Skylar; sister, Donna (Marlin) Tessman of Sacramento, CA; brother, Ronald (Mary) Davidson of Austin, TX and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Roy, Norris and Ralph and sister, Barbara.
