Ralph Plencner, 85, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday morning, October 10, 2011.
Ralph was born on June 2, 1926 in rural Warren, the son of Michael and Mary (Kuznia) Plencner. He attended the Cook School. Ralph served in the US Navy from 1944-1946. In 1949, he married Helen Johnston. They made their home in Warren. Ralph worked at PKM Electric Coop for several years before going to work for the City of Warren where he was the Superintendent of Utilities. For the last several years, Ralph and Helen have made their home in Fargo.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Warren American Legion Post #27 including the honorary firing squad and a 30 year member of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Helen; six children, Carolyn (Glenn) Palluck of Fargo, ND, Sharon Brown of Fargo, ND, Mary Plencner of San Diego, CA, Diane Plencner of San Diego, CA, Robert Plencner of Modesto, CA and Tricia (Todd) Riopelle of Fountain Hills, AZ; three grandchildren, Jenny Neumann, Kristen Balatocan and Anthony Palluck all of Fargo, ND; great-granddaughter, Malina; siblings, Nick (Lorene) Plencner, Leonard (Cleone) Plencner and Florence Steffen all of Warren, MN, special cousin, Christine Dziengel of Kennedy, MN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary and brother, Edward.
