Gary Potucek, 75, of Warren, MN, passed away early Sunday morning, February 3, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren with his family by his side.
Gary Arthur Potucek was born on June 20, 1932 in Warren, the son of Arthur and Marie (Boysen) Potucek. He was raised in rural Warren where he attended school. On September 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to Shirley Olson. They made their home in Warren. He worked for Minnesota Dairy/Cass Clay his entire working life. Shirley died on December 5, 1988.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Gary loved spending time with his granddaughters. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Gary also loved spending time at his family farm. Many family and friends would stop by to visit, picnic or to drink from the flowing well that was in the yard. He took great pride in keeping the farmyard well manicured. Gary would call the deer into the yard and he would feed them and some would eat right out of his hand.
Left to mourn his passing are his two children; Jerry Potucek of Warroad, MN and Joni (Ron) Ranstrom of Warren, MN, two granddaughters, Brenna and Kristen Ranstrom of Warren, MN, sister, Pauline (Donald) Bjorgaard of Newfolden, MN, special friend, Pat Peterson of Warren, MN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley and brother, Kermit Potucek.
