Emil G. Pribula, age 87, died February 25, at North Valley Health Center surrounded by his wife and children. Born to Paul and Eleanor Pribula on June 14, 1919 in Northland Township, MN where he grew up on a farm. He attended country grade school, Alvarado High School and a year at St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN. He married LaVerne McGrath in 1944 and they farmed in Esther Township until a tornado destroyed their home in 1955. The family then moved to Warren where he continued to raise potatoes, wheat, barley and children. He liked to tinker, repair machinery and even built their own home. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
His Catholic faith was at the center of his life, he sang in the church choir and was a commissioned Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters, and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Men’s Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife, LaVerne (McGrath); Children: Donn, Fargo, ND; Curtis (Anna), Fridley, MN; Janette (Arthur) Gil de Lamadrid, Superior, WI; Colleen (Joe) Tulibaski, Argyle, MN; Howard, (Peggy) Grand Forks, ND; Elizabeth (Howard) Haugen, Fertile, MN; Francis, Blaine, MN; Joanne (Mike) Cook, Hawley, MN; David (Rebecca), West Fargo, ND; Mark, Mendota Heights, MN; sister, Bernice (Sims); 23 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by infant daughter, Mary and son, Patrick; his parents and brothers Raymond, Leon, Robert and sisters, Martha and Dorothy.
