Wayne Rodahl, 58, of Garland, TX formerly of Thief River Falls, MN died in Overland Park, Kansas.
Funeral service will be 2 PM, Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Nancy Hanson officiating. Burial will be at Holt Cemetery, Holt, MN.
Visitation will be 5 PM to 8 PM, Friday, November 3, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with a 7 PM Prayer Service, Friday evening and one hour prior to the service, Saturday.
Wayne Lynn Rodahl was born on February 28, 1948 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Lester and Myrtle Hickey (Nelson) Rodahl. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith and attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1965. Following High School, he attended Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls and received a degree in Electronics. He married Mary Lou Legg and to this union a daughter Leslie was born.
Wayne was recruited by Collins Radio in Dallas, TX and has worked in the Electronics Department for many years. The last five years he has traveled with Alcatel Communications, where he tested and installed telephone equipment. Wayne loved his three week trip to Minnesota to visit his family, every year.
Wayne is survived by one daughter, Leslie (Troy) Gilbreath of McKinney, TX; two grandchildren: Kayla and Tyler; his mother, Myrtle Hickey of Thief River Falls, MN; two brothers: Layton (Sue) Rodahl of East Grand Forks, MN and Scott Rodahl of Red Lake Falls, MN; three sisters: Kookie (Richard) Hawk, Rolly Milks and Tracy Anderson, all of Thief River Falls, MN; and several nieces and nephews, soul mate Velma Manning, and her son Garrett Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Lester; and two brothers: Kim and Delmar.
