Ronald G. Sabol, age 61, of Superior, passed away recently at his winter residence in Hernando, Fla.
He was born Feb. 13, 1947, in Richardton, N.D. to George and Agnes (Fisher) Sabol. Ronald was raised in Warren, Minn. and graduated from Warren High School in 1965. He worked on the ore boats out of Duluth prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served in Germany as an M.P. from 1966-1969. Ronald had been a resident of Duluth and Superior and resided on East Seventh Street near Central Park for over 20 years.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; survivors included his significant other, Peggy Djus of McHenry, Ill.; three sisters, Georgia Sabol of Olympia, Wash., Karen (Russell) Wirth of Duluth and Patricia (Dwayne) Liljegren of Grand Rapids, Minn.; one brother, Gerald “Tiny” Sabol of Duluth; five nieces, Rachael and Angel Latterell, Heather, Alicia and Nicole Liljegren; and one nephew, Frank Wirth.
Memorial services will be held at a later date this summer in Warren, Minn., with inurnment at Calvary Cemetery in Warren.
