Willie Senum, 75

Thief River Falls — Willie Senum, 75, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Funeral services will be held today (Wedneday, September 30) at Our Savior’s Free Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Pastor Terry Olson officiating. Wanda Vigness will be the organist, and the soloist will be Jan Nyflot. Casketbearers will be Clayton Hanson, Donald Johnson, Eldon Johnson, Harry Severson, Mark Skogerboe and Norris Trochmann. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Agder township of Marshall county.

Visitation was held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Green Funeral home and will be held for one hour prior to services at the church today.

Willie Gunder Senum was born on February 19, 1923 to Gunder and Hattie (Klockman) Senum in Germantown. He was baptized and confirmed at Mavie Lutheran Church and attended school in Agder township. He farmed and sold machinery and parts.

On July 28, 1957 he was united in marriage to Lila Amy Limesand in Thief River Falls. The couple lived on the farm for most of their married lives. They resided at the Grand Forks Air Force Base while Willie worked on construction of the runways. At times, they lived and worked in California during the winters. Willie also worked at the Peterson-Biddick Co., Charlies Tire Service and the turkey processing plant.

Willie is survived by his wife, Lila; two sons, Gary (Marita) Senum and Steven Senum, both of Thief River Falls; his father, Gunder Senum of Portland, OR; four sisters, Dorothy (Ainsworth) Wehus of Candy, OR, Violet (Leonard) Bonk of Estacaba, OR, Mae Senum of Maryville, WA, and Alsace Potter of Estacaba, OR; one brother, Gunder (Sandy) Senum of Phoenix, AZ; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Senum; his mother; grandparents; and one brother, Edwin Senum.
