Funeral services were conducted at St. Olaf Lutheran church at Grygla Wednesday afternoon for Knut G. Sordal who passed away Saturday at a local hospital, having attained the age of 79 years. Rev. G. I. Halmrast of Grygla officated and interment was made at Saint Olaf Cemetery, Grygla.
Mr. Sordal leaves to mourn his wife, Mrs. Tilda Sordal, of St. Hilaire; four daughters, Mrs. W.J. Fort of Marenisco, Mich., Mrs. F. J. Srnsky of St. Hilaire, Mrs. Robert Schulthess of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Lester Erickson of St. Hilaire; four sons, Gunder of Foxhome, Ole of Seattle, Wash., Sam of Marenisco, Mich., and Clarence of St. Hilaire; one sister, Mrs. Anna Tveit of Norway; and 16 grandchildren. Two daughters and two sons preced him in death.
Mr. Sordal came from Norway, where he was born October 26, 1866, to Fisher in 1887. In 1900 he moved to Grygla, living there until establishing his residence in St. Hilaire last September.
