Florence “Flossie” Steffen, 82, of Warren, MN, passed away on Thursday evening, April 10, 2014 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Florence Ann was born on January 27, 1932 and was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Kuznia) Plencner. She was raised in rural Argyle where she attended country school. In May of 1953, she was united in marriage to Harold Steffen. They made their home in Warren where she owned and operated the Montgomery Wards Agency for many years. Flossie also worked at American Legion in the dining room. Harold died on March 1, 1996.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Birthday Club. Flossie was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she was past president.
Flossie enjoyed crocheting, baking and playing solitaire.
Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, LouAnn Beck of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters-in-law, Cleone Plencner and Lorene Plencner both of Warren, MN and Helen Plencner of Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, David; son-in-law, Rick Beck and four brothers, Edward, Ralph, Leonard and Nick.
