Lucille Francis Syverson, 89, of Stephen died July 1, 2011 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls, MN.
She was born February 16, 1922 in Beulah, ND to Joseph and Vivian Rada. She graduated from High School and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and became a teacher. Lucille taught school in a one room school in North Dakota. On December 12, 1945 she married Mervin Syverson in Moorhead, MN. After marriage, they moved to Fisher, Ada, Benson and Hudson, IA and finally Stephen, MN. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Stephen, Lutheran Social Services and was on the church library board. She received many volunteer awards from the Marshall County Social Services. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and crossword puzzles.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, David M. (Diane) Syverson of Roseville, MN, Doug M. (Annette) Syverson of Seattle, WA, and Mark Syverson of Stephen, MN; brother, Charles (Della) Rada of Oakdale,MN and Agnes Simms of Gainsville, Florida; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Hank.
