Paul Torgerson, 49, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2004, surrounded by his family at his home in rural Warren, MN after a courageous battle with cancer.
Paul G. Torgerson was born on December 28, 1954 in Warren, the son of Gordon and Merle (Roley) Torgerson. He was a life long resident of the Warren area. Paul graduated from Warren High School in 1973 and attended the University of Minnesota Crookston. After he finished his education, he returned to Warren where he farmed. On July 16, 1983, Paul was united in marriage to Janna Dostal at East Grand Forks, MN. They made their home in rural Warren where they farmed. Paul also sold seed for several different seed companies for twenty-five years.
He was a member of the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and the Sons of the American Legion (SAL).
Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Janna and their three children, Emilee of Moorhead, MN and Garrett and Patrick, both of Warren, MN, mother, Merle Torgerson of Warren, MN, one brother, Galen Torgerson of Warren, MN, two sisters, Katherine (Chris) Humphreys of Keller, TX and Junelle (James) Beito of Warren, MN, five nieces, Bethany, Tera, Alyssa, Taylor and Ella, two nephews, Tom and Michael, father-in-law, Wilford (MaryLou) Dostal of Tabor, MN, two brothers-in-law, Jon (Kathy) Dostal of East Grand Forks, MN and James (Julie) Dostal of Coon Rapids, MN, special friends, Wayne, Shawn, Angela and Hallee Spidahl and two foster sisters, Tanya Kazmierczak of Thief River Falls, MN and Wendy Shimpa of Crookston, MN.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon, sister, Patricia Austin, nephew, Nathan Erickson and mother-in-law, Kaye Dostal.
